in defense of the emdash
would you guys like to hear from the pinwheel?
there’s been so much talk of ai’s supposed infatuation with em dashes. a sure sign a bot wrote an article! but some of us enjoy em dashes, and we mustn’t relinquish them to the machine out of a neurotic fear of being mistaken for not human.
